Erie Pa has ties to G#^ D*&& America Pastor Wright

I thought the people of NW PA knew better! Erie, PA should be ASHAMED to have any ties to that America hating loon! For shame Erie! If you don’t put a stop to this now- you will be seeing thugs at the polling places in the next Presidential election- just like they had in Philadelphia in 2008.

Wake up to what is going on in your community! The good citizens of Erie PA should not have to have the good name of their city besmirched by ties to Rev. Wright.

Rev. Wright: ‘Obama Threw Me Under the Bus’ – Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum – FOXNews.com.

The letter was sent Feb. 18 to Joseph Prischak, the president of Africa 6000 International in Erie, Pa. Wright subsequently agreed to write a letter to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on the group’s behalf to try to get access to millions of dollars.

For shame, for shame-

I am a PATRIOT not a racist!

As I was reading the various Memorial Day posts and composing my own blog the Patriotism of the authors and their love for our country came shining through.
During the course of this campaign I have been called some foul names by Obama supporters on various sites; the most hurtful to me was being called a racist. Over and over and over I see the Obama camp playing the race card and I am stunned. Everywhere I go on the web I see it- when a poster declares for Hillary and says they will not vote Obama, ever, they are condemned by the Obamaniacs as racists.

Well I am not a racist! I am a PATRIOT! I love my country and I fear Obama is up to no good. I am not sure he feels about our country as we, the typical, rural, gun clinging, Bible thumping average Americans feel. His wife has surely made herself understood- she thinks America is mean and has never before been proud of her country. We have all by now heard his lunatic “former” pastor ranting and raving about G*** D**** America.
I have learned of Obama’s association with Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Kahlidi, Odinga and others and I truly believe, in my heart of hearts, that Obama aligns himself with others whose thinking and attitudes he endorses or shares.
I saw the photo of Obama with the other candidates on stage. You know the one where he does not put his hand over his heart?
So Obama fans- I have done my research and drawn my conclusions. I DO NOT trust your candidate to do what is right for our country. If we dare to ask what his position on an issue might be, the only answer Obama supporters can give is we must be racists.
NOT! The word, from now on, is PATRIOT! If the DNC drives the bus off the cliff, I won’t be on that bus because Obama threw me under it a long time ago. If Dean and Brazile and the DNC manage to coronate the most unelectable candidate of my lifetime I will be campaigning for Mccain. It is my patriotic duty.

Oh- and Barack- in case this lowly little blog comes to your attention, please watch the video- you will find there-in the proper etiquette for the National Anthem displayed by TWO former Presidents!

Did Edwards sell out for a data base?

I would never have believed it. I have been hearing for some time that Obama was buying Super Delegates by enticing them with his data base. What danger was in that for me? I never registered at Obama’s site, never donated to him.
This I did not foresee. The VERY SAME DAY Edwards endorsed Obama, I get a begging letter asking me to donate to his scholarship foundation. Now just where would Edwards have gotten my e-mail information???
I have been e-mailing the DNC and Howard Dean every time they send me a begging letter, telling them to count all the votes and quit trying to throw the election before they ask me for money.
So there is the answer- Edwards in all probability got my e-mail from the DNC.
The question now is- did the DNC, Dean and Brazile offer the data base to Edwards in exchange for his endorsement of their golden idol??? I have come to my own conclusion; I leave you to to draw your own.

Here is the e-mail from Edwards and my response- notice the e-mail comes from John Edwards for President. HMMM- I thought he withdrew? And is that legal? Is he using campaign funds to promote this cause, worthy though it might be? Notice also, if you will, the line “But change can only come with your help.” Now where oh where have I heard that word before? I am sure Uppity Woman can help us out with the answers, she is most intelligent!

Dear Sir,
I find it absolutely amazing that I have never received an e-mail from you until today- the day you endorsed a completely unelectable, anti-American, terrorist loving, inexperienced candidate for the most powerful position in the world.
Let me ask you the following sir- Are you not disturbed by Obama’s 8 year working relationship with Ayers? Do you REALLY believe Obama is innocent of Wright’s beliefs? (I do not, I think he knew all along about black liberation theology- he admits to it in his book. Did you read that?) Are you so deluded by the media that you think women will fall in line and vote for this misogynist? I won’t.
I have voted Democratic all my very long life. If Obama is nominated, I will, for the first time ever, vote Republican for President. I survived Reagan and both the Bush terms. I can survive McCain especially since I know John McCain loves our country. (I am sure Obama does not love anything but himself.)
You have greatly disappointed me Mr. Edwards. The timing of this e-mail gives me reason to believe a back room money deal was made giving you access to data bases.
Please remove me from your data base.
Oh, and your candidate has plenty of money and wealthy friends-perhaps Sen. Obama can ask Auchi, Kahlidhi, Ayers or Rezko for donations to your scholarship program. I have to save up to pay the global poverty tax your candidate is trying to pass.

Sincerely,

Melissa Whitener, a life long Democratic voter, registering republican if Obama gets his way.

John Edwards wrote:

I want to begin by thanking each of you for all of your support and commitment over the last year. It has meant so much to Elizabeth and me. We have been very busy since January working on the causes that got us into the campaign in the first place — helping to build the One America we all believe in.

You may have heard me talk about one of those programs called College for Everyone — a scholarship pilot project that Elizabeth and I started a few years ago in Greene County, North Carolina.

The program is based on a simple promise to students: make good grades, work at least 10 hours a week, and stay out of trouble — and the program will help pay for your first year of college. Since we launched this effort in 2005, the percentage of Greene County high school graduates attending college has increased from 54 percent to 74 percent.

As I write you, 165 high school seniors in Greene County are set to graduate in May and 94% have been accepted into N.C. colleges and universities. Most of these young people are doing just what many of us did — sitting around the kitchen table with their parents, wondering how they will pay for tuition.

Every parent wants to give their child the opportunity that comes with a college education. But for too many American families, the dream of a college degree is just that — a dream. Now, I need your help to make the dream of a college education a reality for some hard-working students in rural Greene County.

That’s why I need your help today — with a tax-deductible donation of $10, $25, $50 or $75, whatever you can afford — to bring us one step closer to our goal of College for Everyone. By contributing now, you will help fulfill the college dreams of deserving students in Greene County and show the world that if we work together on big and important issues, change is possible.

But change can only come with your help. Please contribute now and bring us closer to building One America where every child has the opportunity to go as far as his or her talents and hard work will take them.

Thank you,

John Edwards

P.S. Contributions made by Friday go towards scholarships for the students graduating in May. Please respond today.

The Surpressed Eulogy

I have been very curious as to why nobody seems able to locate a copy of “The Trumpet” containing the eulogy for Asa Hilliard written and delivered by Jeremiah Wright. The media has been quoting parts of the eulogy noting that Pastor Wright calls Italians “garlic-nosed” and giving references to “lynching” Italian style.
In an effort to be fair minded and read the whole sermon, I went to Googling the “Trumpet.” HM MM, very strange, all issues have disappeared from the Internet. As another writer, I think it was Flea Flicker, (apologies to the writer if it was not Flea Flicker, get with me and I will give you credit) pointed out in another publication, not an easy task to just make things disappear from the Net. I did find a cached version of the Nov-Dec issue, with the first page of the eulogy. It continued on page thirty, which was not cached.
Now I was getting REALLY curious. What was in this eulogy that could be so inflammatory as to cause it to be eliminated (is suppressed to strong a word?) When you follow the link to the Trumpet, you get re-directed to another page. Not willing to give up, I continued searching.
On a discussion board I did find what purports to be a copy of the eulogy. Seems a participant in the discussion board was very upset that the bad old media was once again taking the poor Reverend out of context. Said participant provided a link so others could read the entire eulogy and see the Italian comments in context. AH HA, just what I wanted- to read the whole thing, to get the “context.”
What an eye-opener! The eulogy does praise Dr. Hilliard for his life’s work. The eye-opening part is what the media is not telling us. Given that the Texas County conventions are upon us and that the National convention is being held in Denver, I offer the following (out of context) as the reason this is being suppressed. I do not think the people of Texas view the Alamo in quite the same way as Rev. Wright. And what the people of Denver would think of the comments regarding their city remains to be seen.

“On August 22, 1933, in Galveston, he was born. From his birth to his death, like Jesus, Asa lived his whole life under the oppressive heel of white supremacy. From his birth in 1933 in the segregated South, in Galveston, Texas!Texas! That’s the state that did not want to be a state. The state that tried to pull out from the United States, tried to force Mexico to return the runaway Africans. The Battle of the Alamo was fought over the issue of African slaves.Texas said yes to slavery and the Mexicans spoke in Whitney Houston “tongues” and said “Hell to the Naw” to slavery; and so the Battle of the Alamo had nothing to do with General Custer. It had to do with Kwame, Akosua, Kojo, Kofi and Yaa who refused to be slaves in a sick system of white supremacy.Asa was born in Texas. Bay City, Texas is near Jasper, Texas. Jasper Texas of Rodney King and James Byrd infamy. Both Rodney King and James Byrd, distant cousins of Asa’s, were from Jasper, Texas. Asa was born in a climate of white supremacy.”

Now to his comments about Denver,

“One of his teachers thought he was too dumb to learn Algebra Some of his college classmates firmly believed in the ideology of “Old Black Joe.” The city of Denver conspired to constrict him, consigned him to an education of the hand-Manual Training School-not an education of the head.”

Of course this is taken out of context and for those who would like to read the same version I read, I provide a link. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132×5282479 If any reader believes this link does not provide an accurate copy of the eulogy I invite you to provide a copy direct from the original publication of “The Trumpet.”
My suspicions, however, remain. The eulogy cites scripture and shows Dr. Hilliard as a man of strength. He fought through discrimination and became a scholar of distinction. Why suppress it???
Has the Mass Media suddenly had an attack of conscience and decided never to take anything out of context again? Or have they decided that this might be bad for their Golden Boy?
The conclusion I come to is that somebody is very, very afraid that the people of Texas might not take too kindly to Dr. Wright’s version of the Alamo. Somebody is afraid perhaps that Denver too might be offended?

It’s about judgement!

Some of the respondents to my earlier post seem to have missed the point; suggesting I should listen to the whole sermon or read “the speech.” Let me be very clear and go back again to how I was raised. When I went to high school there were still required classes. Every student went through a set of classes that were considered necessary to your ability to go out into the world as a responsible citizen. One of those classes was CIVICS! A required class sadly missing from most high school curriculums today. In civics class we were taught how local, state and national politcs worked. How to research the candidates and come to an informed decision. (Much more difficult in those days- no internet; you actually had to go to the trouble of reading the newspaper and writing to candidates to get their policy proposals.) We did have the advantage of reporters who actually reported news! Who did their homework and reported to the citizens the results of their research, not the scandal of the moment. As a result of taking civics I, and many other “typical Americans,” learned it was our duty to cast our vote for a candidate on the issues. We investigate, we research, we decide. Long ago I looked at all the candidates. I looked at the candidate’s Senate voting records; Sen. Obama’s was almost identical to Sen. Clinton’s. In the course of my research I went to the candidates web pages to read their postion statements. His proposals on the issues that matter, health care, the economy, the war, again, very close to Clinton’s.

Putting to use the lesson’s learned in Civics class, I made up my mind for Hillary based on her record and experience and the belief she is the candidate who can win in the electoral college states we need to take back the White House. She seemed to me the candidate best prepared to face the Republicans in the coming fight. What the recent revelations have done is to convince me I made the right choice. Sen. Obama clearly has shown he is a very poor judge of character. I can not, in good conscience, vote for a man who sees no need to leave a church where for twenty years he has been indoctrinated in his pastor and spiritual advisor’s Anti-American ravings. The recent revelations have made me very grateful for the education I received in an American public school. I can only wish for a day when civics is once again required in our schools. When all students are taught once again that it is a blessing and a priviledge to be an American. That voting is a grave responsibility, never to be taken for granted, for too many of the people in the world do not have the right to elect their leaders. That excersing that right is an obligation to be undertaken seriously; with careful research of the facts. That we are to use our best judgement in casting our vote for the lives of many depend on selecting a leader whose judgement we can trust.I did my homework. I watched and read “THE SPEECH.” It did not change my mind. I can not trust Obama’s judgement. My son’s life may depend on it.
