Patriotism is NOT “dark.”

Various talking heads- (no they are NOT journalists) are describing the new President’s Inaugural Address as “dark.” They claim he did not reach out to those who did not vote for him. Hmmm- not sure what speech they watched or read- and I have a sneaking suspicion that their remarks were written long before the actual speech was delivered. If it didn’t imply they actually work I would think they have been preparing their diatribes since Election Night. So let’s have a look at the speech and see.

Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans, and people of the world: thank you.

We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and to restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for years to come.

We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every four years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power, and we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent.

Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one Administration to another, or from one party to another – but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People.

For too long, a small group in our nation’s Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.

Washington flourished – but the people did not share in its wealth.

Politicians prospered – but the jobs left, and the factories closed.

The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country.

Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s Capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.

That all changes – starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.

This is your day. This is your celebration.

And this, the United States of America, is your country.

What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people.

January 20th 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again.

The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.

Everyone is listening to you now.

You came by the tens of millions to become part of a historic movement the likes of which the world has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction: that a nation exists to serve its citizens.

Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves.

These are the just and reasonable demands of a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system, flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one nation – and their pain is our pain.  Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success.  We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

For many decades, we’ve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry;

Subsidized the armies of other countries while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military;

We’ve defended other nation’s borders while refusing to defend our own;

And spent trillions of dollars overseas while America’s infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We’ve made other countries rich while the wealth, strength, and confidence of our country has disappeared over the horizon.

One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores, with not even a thought about the millions upon millions of American workers left behind.

The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed across the entire world.

But that is the past. And now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power.

From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this moment on, it’s going to be America First.

Every decision on trade, on taxes, on immigration, on foreign affairs, will be made to benefit American workers and American families.

We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies, and destroying our jobs.  Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength.

I will fight for you with every breath in my body – and I will never, ever let you down.

America will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our jobs. We will bring back our borders.  We will bring back our wealth.  And we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new roads, and highways, and bridges, and airports, and tunnels, and railways all across our wonderful nation.

We will get our people off of welfare and back to work – rebuilding our country with American hands and American labor.

We will follow two simple rules: Buy American and Hire American.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world – but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow.

We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones – and unite the civilized world against Radical Islamic Terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the Earth.

At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice.

The Bible tells us, “how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”

We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity.

When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.

There should be no fear – we are protected, and we will always be protected.

We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement and, most importantly, we are protected by God.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger.

In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving.

We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action – constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over.

Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not let anyone tell you it cannot be done.  No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America.

We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the Earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.

A new national pride will stir our souls, lift our sights, and heal our divisions.

It is time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget: that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots, we all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great American Flag.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the windswept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty Creator.

So to all Americans, in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, and from ocean to ocean, hear these words:

You will never be ignored again.

Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams, will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together, We Will Make America Strong Again.

We Will Make America Wealthy Again.

We Will Make America Proud Again.

We Will Make America Safe Again. And, Yes, Together, We Will Make America Great Again. Thank you, God Bless You, And God Bless America.”

What is “dark” in this speech? Was it where he said “We, the citizens”? Perhaps they perceive any reference to “WE, the PEOPLE” as threatening? Was it where he stated that “a nation exists to serve its citizens”? Did his references to the trials of our inner city brethren disturb them? Because he boldly proclaimed truth? Do they deny the plight of those who are trapped in poverty, in crime ridden neighborhoods? They have pulled THIS line out over and over- with not context-

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now.

Whether they like it or not, there IS carnage in our cities. Murders by the thousands. Citizens unable to walk safely in their neighborhoods. Thugs terrorizing the streets. Do they deny it? They take this one line and proclaim the entire speech was doom and gloom and “dark”? PLEASE. I say good on the President- tell it like it is and put a stop to the carnage.

Their evaluation says he did not reach out to the “other side” REALLY? Did they miss this?

We are one nation – and their pain is our pain.  Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success.  We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans.

Or this?

So to all Americans, in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, and from ocean to ocean, hear these words:

You will never be ignored again.

Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams, will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

I see nothing dark or divisive in this speech. I see a leader addressing we, the people. A man not setting himself up as better than us- but stating he is one of us. I see patriotism on display. And THAT is something the media hates and has hated for years. Let me say to everyone reading this- it is NOT the new President dividing us- it is the media doing the bidding of their masters. The powers behind the old thrones- the thrones that were thrown down on November the 6th. Rise UP! Say NO to the great dividers and Make America Great Again!

God Bless America! And God Bless We, the People!

Proclaim Liberty Throughout the Land!

In our little hometown newspaper there was a piece yesterday which caught my attention and taught me a something I did not know. The title of this post are the words inscribed on the Liberty Bell. The op-ed piece told me that those words are taken from the Bible- Leviticus 25:1. Look it up! Check it out! Celebrate our country’s birthday! Spend a few minutes today in reflection and thanks. Please take a moment to think about the meaning of Independence Day- and think about the meaning of the word Independence.  We live in the greatest country ever- and citizenship here is a gift!  God Bless America! Sing along! Just like everybody does in Boston at the Hatch Shell with the Boston Pops.

And I REALLY wish some of the so called “big” stars that desecrate our national hymn would take a listen to these young children and learn to sing it with reverence and passion!

Add your own favorite patriotic videos in the comments! I will be out celebrating but will check in once in a while! God Bless America! Stay safe!

On Our Soil!

Used to be that is your kid was stationed here in the States you pretty much didn’t worry. Well, you worried, but about the same things you worry for all your kids. You sure did not worry about them being shot or blown up on their base right here in the USA!

Then we have the Ft. Hood massacre perpetrated by an islamofascist terrorist trained and employed BY THE ARMY!!!! WTF! Lots of warning signs- but hey- there’s a shortage in that MOS so just ignore it. (Said islamofascist paralyzed asshole has still not been court-martialed and shot and is alive and sucking up your tax dollars and mine with his medical and legal bills. And the government seems to be a bunch of idiots because the jerk is in a public jail instead of a military facility.)

So then a few days ago I see on the news that two idiots, bastards tried to enter MacDill in Fl.

Tampa, Florida — Guns and ammunition have been removed from an SUV that was stopped just inside the Bayshore Gate at MacDill Air Force Base Monday night.

Then I am cruising the news this morning and I see there is apparently a plague of these assholes loose in this country.

FORT GORDON, Ga. – The FBI was investigating after a civilian was arrested with explosives in his vehicle on an Army base in Georgia that is headquarters to the service’s global communication and information systems, authorities said Wednesday.

snip

Military authorities were not treating the case as a terrorist threat, said Buz Yarnell, a spokesman for Fort Gordon near Augusta.

The arrest Tuesday came a day after an AWOL serviceman was arrested in Florida for trying to enter an Air Force base there with fake ID and weapons, although authorities did not link the two and the Florida case was also deemed not terrorism.

Um- you see that part that I put in bold? Well take a look at this re MacDill.

The base is home to U.S. Central Command, which runs the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And Fort Hood units have played a major role in the wars currently in progress.  They are trying to wreak major havoc in the command and control structures I think. Not terrorism? Only in Barackastan.

These terrorist  assholes are REALLY starting to piss me off.  If you do not love our country- then please don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.(And that includes YOU Barack!)

Just remember- it is the soldiers (including members of my immediate family) that fight for your freedom to believe as you will and say what you think. Try giving free rein to your freedom of speech in one of the enemy Islamic states and see how far you get. Due process in those barbarian countries consists of asking which ear you want the bullet in.

Oh and maybe just maybe our government will wise up really soon and remember that the oath is to protect from ALL enemies- foreign and DOMESTIC! I hope some of these worms start running into some troops that take the oath literally and  save us some tax dollars.

God Bless America. Our Lady, Queen of the Americas, protect our troops!

Update

Man seized at Army post had land mine, laser scope

Anthony Todd Saxon, 34, was charged with impersonating an Army master sergeant and stealing the infrared laser targeting sight after he was caught on the east Georgia base with a land mine, several grenades and night vision devices, prosecutors said.

{snip} Here’s the kicker- are you ready?

“Anybody can get on Fort Gordon with a driver’s license,” Yarnell said. “It’s open to the public, basically.”

Can we get some security here please? For crying out loud! It’s a military base- not a public park!

A Fine Rebuttal!

I received this in an e-mail from my niece. It says it all and I hope it goes to as many inboxes as possible! My thanks to the composer of this fine letter.

ORANGE COUNTY ( CALIFORNIA ) NEWSPAPER-New Immigrants

This is a very good letter to the editor. This woman made some good points..

For some reason, people have difficulty structuring their arguments when arguing against supporting the currently proposed immigration revisions. This lady made the argument pretty simple. NOT printed in theOrange County Paper……………….

Newspapers simply won’t publish letters to the editor which they either deem politically incorrect (read below) or which does not agree with the philosophy they’re pushing on the public. This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help it will get published via cyberspace!

From:

“David LaBonte”

My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. So, I decided to “print” it myself by sending it out on the Internet. Pass it along if you feel so inclined. Written in response to a series of letters to the editor in theOrange County Register:

Dear Editor:

So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants. Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren’t being treated the same as those who passed through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today’s American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented. Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved good bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out.

My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan . None

of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan . They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France , no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up

another country’s flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I’m sorry, that’s not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900’s deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.

And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty , it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. I wouldn’t start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

KEEP THIS LETTER MOVING. FOR THE WRONG THINGS TO PREVAIL THE RIGHTFUL MAJORITY NEEDS TO REMAIN COMPLACENT AND QUIET!! LET THIS NEVER HAPPEN!

I sincerely hope this letter gets read by millions of people all across the nation.

I am a PATRIOT not a racist!

As I was reading the various Memorial Day posts and composing my own blog the Patriotism of the authors and their love for our country came shining through.
During the course of this campaign I have been called some foul names by Obama supporters on various sites; the most hurtful to me was being called a racist. Over and over and over I see the Obama camp playing the race card and I am stunned. Everywhere I go on the web I see it- when a poster declares for Hillary and says they will not vote Obama, ever, they are condemned by the Obamaniacs as racists.

Well I am not a racist! I am a PATRIOT! I love my country and I fear Obama is up to no good. I am not sure he feels about our country as we, the typical, rural, gun clinging, Bible thumping average Americans feel. His wife has surely made herself understood- she thinks America is mean and has never before been proud of her country. We have all by now heard his lunatic “former” pastor ranting and raving about G*** D**** America.
I have learned of Obama’s association with Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Kahlidi, Odinga and others and I truly believe, in my heart of hearts, that Obama aligns himself with others whose thinking and attitudes he endorses or shares.
I saw the photo of Obama with the other candidates on stage. You know the one where he does not put his hand over his heart?
So Obama fans- I have done my research and drawn my conclusions. I DO NOT trust your candidate to do what is right for our country. If we dare to ask what his position on an issue might be, the only answer Obama supporters can give is we must be racists.
NOT! The word, from now on, is PATRIOT! If the DNC drives the bus off the cliff, I won’t be on that bus because Obama threw me under it a long time ago. If Dean and Brazile and the DNC manage to coronate the most unelectable candidate of my lifetime I will be campaigning for Mccain. It is my patriotic duty.

Oh- and Barack- in case this lowly little blog comes to your attention, please watch the video- you will find there-in the proper etiquette for the National Anthem displayed by TWO former Presidents!

Memorial Day Thank You
